Help on marking a selection in a videofile
Procedure:
- To start playing, press the play button on the
player (the Microsoft Media Player, the Real Player, the Quicktime
Player or the Kasenna Broadband Player).
The button looks slightly different in each player.

- Press the "Mark start" button on the right side
of the screen to mark the start position of the selected clip.

The selected position of the start marker is shown to the right side of the button.
- Press the "Mark end" button to mark the end position.

The selected position of the end marker is shown to the right side of the button.
The Real One Player is shown in the image below.

Tips
- You can reposition the start and end markers if necessary.
- Moreover, the markers can be moved forwards or backwards step by step in increments of 0.1 seconds. To do this, click the "-0,1 s" and "+0.1 s" buttons for the start and end marker.

- The button "Manual..." opens a dialogue in which
the desired position can be entered using the keyboard.

In some cases the marker cannot be set using the "Mark start" and "Mark end" buttons. A warning will appear. If this happens, enter the marker positions manually.
- The exact positions can be checked using the "Play from"
button. Click this button to play the file from the start or end marker.

- The image
indicates that you have changed the start or end marker.
